Sure the U.S. House of Representatives is off today for Rosh Hashanah and the stock market seems to have come back somewhat. There's a little lull in the action. That won't be for long as the Congress will need to readress this issue quickly.
It got me to thinking back oh so long ago like 2 weeks........Cant you see Hank Paulson sitting there saying "yeah Mr. President, I'll just tell Congress to give me the $700bn of the taxpayers money with this 2 page release form. I'm the Treasury Secretary for chrissakes. I'm a big important guy."
So in keeping with our cultural references one of the most well known actors of the 20th century passed away this week. Now in this clip lets have Paulson be "Fast Eddie" of course played by the now deceased Paul Newman. We'll have Bernanke be the guy in the hat. Then lets make the gent who is going to introduce him to the guy who can give him a big can of whupass be Barney Frank. Minnesota Fats (who was played so well by Jackie Gleason) would be the U.S. House of Representatives but that's for another clip.
