I could give a rat's ass (technical term) what your political affiliation is. But I have just been notified that the State of California, which is giving people they owe money to pieces of paper stamped "I.O.U.", is throwing a concert/funeral/tribute to one Michael Joseph Jackson. You know what it's costing? $4mm. You know who they want to pay for it? You. As in, there's a website where they are asking for donations to pay for this thing today.
Again, I don't care what your politics are or whether or not you liked MJ. I was known to try and spin like him when I was a kid. I loved that early Jackson 5 stuff! But you're telling me that some extracurricular activities at a few schools, or free meals for the elderly, or debt service couldn't be a better use of $4mm that they don't even HAVE?!?!?
