Editor's Note--I was walking down the street on Saturday when I saw a huge 6 foot blow up doll of a Florida State football player in front of a saloon that is NOT a sponsor of this blog, yet, so it will go unmentioned. Knowing that Large Richard's first pick of the day was the team playing Florida State, WAKE FOREST! So I ventured inside. And it became a very dark, ominous scene when WAKE FOREST beat Florida State outright while getting 12 points!! Boy was I thrilled. Unfortunately, that was the only thrill of the day as Large Richard dropped his next 2. Then Sunday, we had CINCY again as our first play and winner of the day, followed, shockingly, by two loses. The 1st losing NFL Sunday for Large Richard. I didn't get to talk to him this week. I think he's been studying. And as Coach Morris Buttermaker of Chico's Bail Bonds might say, "That's a whole lotta Bad News for the bookmakers!" Go get 'em Big D....--R.B.
Hello Richie, and hello to all of you. Not much to say, but here's 6 more to play. In rapid fire succession. Saturday: UCF+3.5 @ smu, WESTERN KENTUCKY+2.5 @ Florida Atlantic, and UTAH STATE-3.5 @ Fresno State. Sunday: INDY+7 @ Cincy (remember ALWAYS take the underdog in the Cincy game), OVER 55 NE/Dallas (both teams go OVER all the time. New England scores 30+ every game, so don't try and scare me bookmaker), and on Monday Night: MIAMI+7 @ New York Jets (Jets still bickering and MIAMI enjoys playing on the road more than at home. As evidenced by their 18-7 spread record, the last 25 on the road.)
