Editor's Note--Well, 2-1 in the NFL after the 3-0 performance the week before. Not perfect, but not a bad way to make a living for Big D and his band of men, women, and monkeys. We look forward to this week's selections and maybe it will even stop raining in NYC by then! Do what you do, oh sage, blast us with the winners. Again!--R.B.
The 2-1 is nice but not what we strive for. We sleep when we are perfect. (We do imbibe in extra champagne and lobster though on a 2-1 week!) Speaking of perfect.......
The "red team" cost us the first weekend in their normally tough home underdog role. It aint a happenin again. They host their bitter rivals from San Diego and they are getting a very "sneaky" 1 point. We're talking of course about the CHIEFS of KANSAS CITY. Bust out the tomahawk, with that splendid come back that saved their season last Sunday, they will be ready to go. Chargers, a horrible road favorite, won't be too close. Take pal. Take.
Just a little bit west of KC is Denver. There's another AFC West battle there on Sunday. Lotta critics are out saying Mr. Manning is kaput. He may be. However, he won't go down lightly. Look for him to sling it around. The Rayyyyyyyy-duhs dropped 34 on Pittsburgh last week. That's saying something. Big D is saying don't be scared by the high total of 48.5. The weather will be perfect. So will the chance for touchdowns, baby. O-V-E-R.
Finally, on Monday night, deep in the heart of Texas, at "Jerry's House", "howboutdem" Cowboys host da Bearsssssss. 42.5 is the total. You seen these 2 offenses? Large Richard has. NO WAY these 2 offenses can score this many. The only thing that beats us is MULTIPLE defensive touchdowns. We'll take our chances. UNDER in Big D, friend. UNDER.
So: KC+1 vs San Diego, OVER Den/Oak 48.5, and UNDER Dal/Chi 42.5.
Have a happy and healthy weekend. Also a dry one for those of you who just got drenched. We haven't played this best live version of this tune in a long time. This and the Big D selections should start (and finish!) your weekend off right. Good luck and god bless.
