I even pulled some nifty winners my damnself in the horsies on Saturday at the Borgata's Horse Handicapping Invitational in beautiful Atlantic City, New Jersey. And it WAS beautiful. Yes Richie. Let's first talk about YOUR exploits at this horsie tournament. My sources tell me when the contest of nearly 200 avid horsemen had a flash of the leaderboard going into the very last race for the contest, it stated "4: RICHARD BENNETT". As in, you were 4th out of 200!?!?! Then some 39-1 shot hit and bailed a few clowns out who were just throwing hail marys, yes? It dropped you to 10th place, right? How am I doing so far? But you still collected your prize money, the money you made on the vast amount of winners, AND a snappy invitation back to the next tournament in December, correct? Remember, Big D knows all baby. Well done, Richie B. Well done. Now to the college football action.
UNLV stinks right? Not at home pal. Where they get points a lot. And cover a lot. Like last week. Oh they are getting 11 versus Air Force? At home? Oh we'll take. Again.
Hey LOUSIANA-MONROE almost did it again! They lost in OT to Auburn! We were getting 16 points. Were we ever worried? Um, no we were not. A special Big D shoutout to Big D follower, Clay B, who kept saying "LMU, LMU" all week. They play Baylor at home under the lights on Friday night? Getting 8? Friday night lights indeed. Thats too many pal. Take. Again.
Finally, WAKE got lambasted for our 1 loss on the weekend. We'll go with them again to bounce back as they "drop in class" (nice horsie reference, eh?) from Florida State to Army. They lay 7 and might win by 37. Goooooooooo!
Right about now you smart followers have realized that out of ALL the college football teams to play, we've chosen the SAME 3 teams we chose last week. Are we crazy? Maybe. Do you like money? Definitely. Don't ask why. Just run, don't walk, to the wagering windows and say with gusto: LA-MONROE+8 vs Baylor, WAKE FOREST -7 vs Army, and UNLV+ 11 vs. Air Force.
