Editor's Note--No winners out of 3 in the NFL last week for Big D. That ended his blistering hot streak. I am a wagering man, and I will tell you that won't happen again this season. So there. I think this is called a "bounce back". Some might call it a return to normalcy. 4 teams in Major League Baseball history have come back from 13 or more games behind to make the playoffs. 2 of those 4 have won the World Series. WON. The 5th team that has accomplished that feat is now the ATHLETICS from OAKLAND. Howdy. FLAMING, STEAMING hot. Big D is a big studier of history. The A's have that "somethin' somethin''". They also have that +180 against Verlander on Saturday night in Game 1. Wanna guess how Verlander is in the playoffs? 3-3 with a 5.57 ERA. Hiya. ATHLETICS are the choice here.
We feel so good about that, we'll even take the ATHLETICS at great odds to win the whole shootin' match. Yep. The World Series. We'll also play the GIANTS of SAN FRANCISCO to win the World Series too. Look out!
In the NFL, the New York football Giants are not in their "prefered role". As in, they are large home favorites. CLEVELAND has a bad record, 0-4, but 3-1 versus the number, pal. The only number that counts. Take the BROWNIES in the swamps of Jersey.
Used to be an easy wager to take the underdog in the Bengal game. Not so much this year? Big D is here to tell you that trend starts up again tout d'suite (that's right now, in French, you jokers). Doesn't that line of 3.5 look AWFULLY low on Sunday? Yes it does. That's why we'll take the sneaky tough DOLPHINS of MIAMI.
Finally, on Monday night, it looks like its curtains for the J-E-T-S this year don't it? Best defensive player out. Best offensive player out. Crushing victory last week. Welp, in the topsy turvy world of the NFL, you could be ground chuck one week, and steak and lobster the next. We like steak and lobster. The Texans are really gonna lay 8.5 on the road? Keep in mind the JETS are 2-2 with losses to Pittsburgh and San Francisco. Keep this in mind and take the home team that looks perfect for a big suuuuuuuuuuue-prize!
