Editor's Note--A painstaking 1-2 weekend in the NFL last week. This too, shall change. Big D is back with 3 more Sunday specials and we're thrilled. Looks like some old teams that used to be very good, could be slippin. Big D knows. Big D knows.....--R.B.
The NFL was unkind to us last weekend. Luckily not as unkind, as the college football was kind to us. But lets not mince words here. The league is about to get turned on its ear.
Now Indy was a fine team when Mr. Manning was the QB. He is gone and along came this Andrew Luck. Who has shown some real potential. He didnt look too good last week though. You know who does seem to look good despite a crappy record (NOT versus the spread), and very bad press? WEEDON and the CLEVELAND BROWNS. The line in this game in Indy is Indy -2.5. Doesnt that smell funny? Sure it does. Take the points when the young guy that's not supposed to be "the man", shows up the guy who is.
Everyone screams, "The Pack is back!" after their fine performance on Monday night versus the previously undefeated Texans. Well, you know who is 5-1 vs the spread and 3-0 at home and who REALLY is back? Why, it's the ST LOUIS RAMS! That's who. Packers are going to have a tough time making the playoffs this year, baby. Tougher time when they lose this game at ST LOUIS, Sunday, pal! We get 5.5 points? At home? Take.
Finally, Pittsburgh aint your older brother's Pittsburgh. Getting older and pretty banged up. They lay a tiny 1.5 at CINCY on Sunday night. The mere mortals will be jumping on the Steelers right? Not us friend. Home cookin. BENGALS in a "shocker", to create even more uncertainty in the league.
So: CLEVELAND +2.5 @ Indy, ST LOUIS+5.5 vs Green Bay, and CINCY+1.5 vs Pittsburgh, to complete the further "Changing of the guard". Good luck. God bless. And here's a clip of one of the most famous changing of the guards of all time. And an old Monkey Business Blog favorite........Enjoy!
