Editor's Note--What?! You thought Big D would remain silent with the NBA Finals in Game 7?! You don't know him too well. I do know that the last time a Game 7 in the NBA Finals was won on the road, Wes Unseld and his Washington Bullets did it versus the Gus Williams (Gus from "money earnin' Mount Vernon, NY) led Seattle Supersonics in 1978. Will we have a road team win tonight? One important man has an opinion. And you get to hear him free of charge. Ready? Good.--R.B.
Its not often you see a SPUR team lose a big lead like they did the other night. POPOVICH off his normal "A" game. Miami never quit and that's the mark of a good team. Normally, in a Game 7 you just kind of wonder about the spread because the home team is almost CERTAIN to win. For some reason, Big D is not feeling this way, today. Big D smells another barn burner. The 6 points is a gift. The 2.25-1 odds on SAN ANTONIO to win one basketball game, is a bigger gift.
These young cats all go for Lebron and his legendary status. Big D is more from the old school. Phi Beta Kappa from the old school baby. Lebron will have more chances. DUNCAN, PARKER, GINOBLI, and POPOVICH, who play the game the "old school way", may not. Too many pal. TAAAAAAAAAAAAKE. The points and the money line!
So: SAN ANTONIO+6 vs Miami AND SAN ANTONIO +2.25-1 to win the game outright. The "Texas two step" or the "texas hedge" is what we will call it. SAN ANTONIO is in Texas. We learned that in our old school. Good luck and god bless. And enjoy the tune, baby.
