Editor's Note--We all hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. Now for some new feasts! Well, the YALE victory was soooooo sweet, as they smashed the clowns from cambridge to win the IVY League Football title outright for the first time since 1980. Blood on the streets in the tow of New Haven, indeed! The rest of Saturday? Not so hot. As a matter of fact, cold as hell. Sunday did bring us some relief from the stench as he bounced back, and went a spiffy 2-1. He? Oh that's Big D of course. Now he is ready for 6 new selections. Goooo!--R.B.
Thank you Richie. Congrats to your YALE team. Well done. Nice pick too! And we hope all of you had a fabulous Thanksgiving, as we did. Sprinkling in lobster and champagne with your turkey is a nice time honored tradition....Now let's get to the pickin.
Big game down in Florida baby! No, not Florida vs Florida State. Thats so 90s. We're talking UCF and Usf friends! 10-0 UCF hosting 9-1 usf in Orlando!! The line looks awful fishy. It's UCF -10. And you know what we like to do with fishy lines. Pounce on them! We are layin the double digits in a post Thanksgiving Day FEAST! That's right. Lay it pal.
In another, less important, in-state battle, shaky UNLV travels to shakier Nevada-Reno and finds themselves getting 3.5 for some reason. The REBELS arent so hot in the outright win department this year, but they are better than Nevada. And they are 7-3 vs the spread. RUN to the windows with the RUNNIN' REBS! Take!
Finally, in a more important OTHER in-state game? #1 bama travels to #6 AUBURN. Boy oh boy, would the TIGERS like to stomp on the tide's national championship hopes. And AUBURN has been rollin even more than the tide has lately. We like the 4.5 points for a fired up home team who hasn't come close to losing at home this year. AUBURN baby.
Sunday brings us some funny lines too. Home doggies and such. We likey.
The COLTS have had a disappointing injury filled season. But whether they are having good or bad season, INDY historically handles Tennessee. We aren't completely sold on the titans, and the COLTS have been playing very respectable lately. Take the 3.5 handsomes.
Quick! Who has the best pointspread in the NFL at home this year?!? Why, if you guessed Richie's J-E-T-S? You are correct! 5-0 vs the number at the MetLife Stadium in the swamps of Jersey. The Panthers have been rolling, but GANG GREEN still has a playoff shot!! We smell a good defensive showing by the home team, here. Oh the 5.5 points we get? We will gladly TAKE.
Finally, we will go down this road one more time......yes the 49ERS. We just think the Seahags will be deflated from Monday's loss. And in the NFL, you don't make a living, wagering on inter-division road favorites. Especially when they lay 6 or more. We get 6.5 here in South SAN FRANCISCO. We take.
So, the "rubberband-like snap back" happy recap: Friday: UCF-10 vs usf, Saturday: UNLV+3.5 @ Nevada, AUBURN+4.5 vs alabama...Home dog Sunday: INDY+3.5 vs tennessee, NY JETS+5.5 vs carolina, SAN FRANCISCO+6.5 vs seattle.
Good luck. God bless. Happy Post-Thanksgiving. And speaking of snapping and bouncing back and rubberbands? Enjoy this tune. If there is a better version of this classic, we have not seen it. Look at those moves by our old pals! And for you younger folks, there is no lip synching here. That's live. Boy is it ever.
