Editor's Note--I guess there was 1 mistake Big D made when last sighted on Sunday. He said the CLEMSON game would probably be close. It wasn't. But he had CLEMSON! And CUSE! And UMBC! And 3-0! Woooo Wu. Now he's got 2 more tonight for the Madnessssss. Get thee to a window for investing, right now! Well, right after you read THIS....--R.B.
Perfection is the name of the game in this business. So it's always nice to be PERFECT. Which we were. Here comes more hotness.
Hey Richie B, we are all proud a ya for having LOYOLA-ILLINOIS in your brackets thus far and MORE. We won't talk about your Houston and Michigan State bracket picks with Michigan State winning the whole tourney though. Oh we just did.
Speaking of the RAMBLERS of LOYOLA-ILLINOIS?!? This team can't think, won't think, about losing. They get the surprising Nevada squad, who ain't too bad either. But Nevada lays 2. What's the rule people?!? We dont lay 2 in a basketball game. We sometimes take. Like tonight. That Sister Jean is in their corner, she speaks for Jesus, so how can we go against her (although she has admitted in HER brackets that she had the RAMBLERS go to the Sweet Sixteen and lose!)?? The boys from CHICAGO are undersized but completely scrappy, and play defense. Those bearded twins for Nevada-Reno are no slouches. But if LOYOLA gets a lead in this one? They won't cough it up. Taaaaaaaaaaaaaake!
In the late game, Gonzaga has had great success over the years in this tournament. How? Good players and good coaching for sure. However, they play DEFENSE. Florida State likes to run the ball and did it well versus Xavier. Gonzaga knows it can't get into a track meet. Believe it or not, both teams go under 75% of the time in the NCAA tournament the last 5+ years. That total looks awfully inviting at 154. Inviting for the UNDERRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
So the happy "1st Sweet Sixteen Games" recap: LOYOLA-ILLINOIS-CHICAGO +2 vs Nevada, UNDER 154 Gonzaga/Florida State.
Good luck. God bless. Check back tomorrow for Friday's gems. Now speaking of Old Days and Chicago? Enjoy.
