Editor's Note--Well then! That's more like it! The shaking up of things surely worked! Winning the baseball. 2-1 in the college. 2-0-1 in the NFL.....That's a house a fire if you ask me. And even if you didn't ask me. He's gonna go with the same format as last week (1 baseball, 3 college, 3 pro), with a little commentary this week, and a nifty song. Who is he? Get out of the closet. Or the bomb shelter. Why, of course, it's Big Dick!!--R.B.
Thanks for the kind words Richie. Let's see if we can even top that.
Last week we liked the Brew Crew and we won in the baseball as they "shocked" Kershaw.....What a difference a week makes. Now the Brew Crew neeeeeeeeeeeds the game tonight or they go home and the DAAAAJJJJJJERRRRSSSSS go to the World Series. This RYU for LA has been stellar pretty much all year on the mound, and this has been a real bad time for the Milwaukee bats to go dead. The Brewers already said they are going to use 3 or 4 pitchers early. Sounds desperado. We'll take the visiting LA team tonight at a PICK EM vs the Brewers.
Now in the college football, we go back to the MAC. Where the BUFFALO BULLS (that's right BULLS, not BILLS, we'll get to them in a second) stand atop the league undefeated in league play and 6-1 overall. Somehow earlier in the week, BUFFALO was an underdog at Toledo. That has shifted a bit now (sorry for moving the line :)) to BUFFALO -1.5 at Toledo. That's ok. Lay it anyway pal. BULLS are much better.
In the "no respect game of the week", John J, a loyal follower of Big D, texted Big D earlier in the week, "NC STATE is really getting 17?!?" So we had a little gander. When you have a 6-0 team (Clemson) playing a 5-0 team (NC STATE) in a yuge ACC matchup, do you think one team should lay 17 to the other? Us either. WOLFPACK plus the 17 baby!
Finally, staying with the BUFFALO theme, how about the COLORADO BUFFALOES? Sure, they laid an egg at Usc last week, but they always have problems with them. Speaking of laying eggs, the Washington Huskies blew pretty much any chance of going to the Final Four with a heartbreaking beat at Oregon. We think those 2 results crush the Huskies more. And now they lay 17 to a decent BUFFALO team? Not with our money friends. Take.
Now in the NFL, after a fancy weekend, we are seeing clear trends. And we saw VERY clear trends in person, in Richie's seats, at the Meadowlands last Sunday, when the J-E-T-S smashed the Colts. Pay no attention to that final score of 42-34, it was blowout city. So now the "mighty" 1-5 Colts lay 7.5 to the 2-4 BUFFALO BILLS (there's that BUFFALO theme again!). Sure, the rookie QB is out. But this guy PETERMAN has started before. Indy is in disarray, way too many points. Takey.
Speaking of those J-E-T-S, they host the Vikings this week and are a 3.5 point dog. Like we said. At home. Where they are 10-2 vs the number their last 12. (Fortress Met Life Stadium??!?!) Remember last March when the JETS offered Kirk Cousins 90mm (!) GUARANTEED over 3 years? And he used that to get the Vikings to "pay up". As in, 84mm over 3 years. Yes, Cousins took 6mm LESS to go to the Minnesotas, and took a shot at GANG GREEN front office and players in the process. Well, we remember. You know who else remembers? The JETS. And if some of the players weren't around in March to remember that who are there now? They've been REMINDED this week. You think ol' Kirk eats some field turf this week? Oh we do. We do. Do we think "SHINY" SAM DARNOLD plays another decent game? We do. That all adds up to J-E-T-S handsomes. LIVE home dog.
Finally, I don't care what or who the team is. The quickest way to go poor in NFL investing? Laying double digits on the road within your division. That's what the Rams are doing to the "stinky" 49ERS. SAN FRANCISCO has been playing the Rams well now for years now matter how "bad" they are. The rams left the backdoor open last week versus Denver and didn't cover. They're 3-3 versus the spread. Meh that's not so great. SF+10 is where we go. Goooooooooooooo
The BUFFALOING THROUGH "happy recap": Tonight: LA DODGERS pick em @ Milwaukee, Saturday: BUFFALO-1.5 vs toledo, NC STATE+17 @ clemson, COLORADO BUFFALOES+17 @ washington, Sunday: BUFFALO+7.5 @ indianapolis, NY JETS+3.5 vs Minnesota, SF+10 vs La Rams. We also won't blame you for playing a 3 team "BUFFALO" parlay either....BULLS-1.5, COLORADO BUFFALOES+17 vs washington, and BILLS+7.5. We like that kind of party, baby!
Speaking of parties and BUFFALOES? Enjoy this. Good luck and god bless!
