YEARS WITH LONDON RECORDS.

Hey Ted!

What is your website? Definitely like to check it out.

Unfortunately, Sy died in 1980. Lung Cancer. We spent (My Dad and I) a lot of time with him in his last couple of years. I'll never forget those times. I was 15-16 and he dispensed all his wisdom to me.

To this day, Richie and I use some of that wisdom...which unfortunately cannot be repeated here!

All the best.

Eric

Ted Vigodsky

Ran across this this evening while working on my website.

In the early 70's I did promotion for London Records S.E. in Atlanta. Sy Warner and Herb Goldfarb were my N.Y. handlers. I hope both are still with us. Sy was a piece of work. Very funny! Great to work for.

When Bobby Pickett was trying to resurrect his career, New York asked me to meet him in Nashville and help him make the rounds and smooth his way as best I could. He was a really great guy, very pleasant to work with. If memory serves he'd been a school teacher in California in his past. Very unpretentious dude. I don't know what became of him.

BTW- Check my website the end of the week and you'll see a London Records-related story about Richard Tucker and Robert Merrill along with yours truly.
