Like I told somebody a little while ago, when I was in weekly meetings, seeing everyone high-fiving about our latest Alt-a or pay option arm deal there wasn't much talk about CRA. In fact I'm not sure anyone in the room knew or even cared what CRA was.

You're right on: the CRA is not to blame for the credit crisis. It has already been explained that easy credit was to blame for the credit crisis. The fact that mortgage companies and banks were so eager to collect fees that they allowed anyone, good or bad credit and any income size, to get a loan ultimately is to blame for the credit crisis.
